“You never know when or how you’re going to make a lasting impression.”
My path to commercial real estate began on the basketball court in middle school. I didn’t know it then, but my drive and outgoing personality stood out to my coach, who also happened to be a broker. Seven years later he reached out to offer me a summer internship, and the rest is history.
What would you be doing if you weren’t in real estate?
As I was starting college, my goal was initially to own a startup. I pursued an Entrepreneurship major and had the opportunity to develop and pitch viable business ideas in my classes. If real estate hadn’t captured my interest, I could still be down in Silicon Beach digging into a startup.
“Ultimately, it was the entrepreneurial spirit of Dylan and Jerrid’s team that made it the right fit.”
When I first connected with Dylan and Jerrid, it was their huge aspirations for the team that stood out to me (and it didn’t hurt that Jerrid also graduated with a degree in Entrepreneurship). They had big goals and high expectations – I was making calls on day one – and this fit perfectly with my core belief that you get out what you put in.
What do you put your all into outside of work?
When I’m not making dials to find the most appropriate person to speak to, I love everything sports: watching, reading about, or playing them. Of course, it depends on the season, but I’d have to say football is my favorite both to play and watch – go Hawks!
